Which service should I choose?
Translation

Certified translation
The service includes the translation of your document certified by a lawyer, in accordance with the provisions of Greek law. It is accepted in all private and public institutions in Greece.

When do I need a translation with a lawyer's certification?
For use in Greece
If you will be presenting the documents to private authorities, institutions or companies, it is usually sufficient to have the translation certified by our office (option “Translation” in our e-shop).
However, for transactions with Greek public authorities, services and institutions, such as municipalities, registry offices, ministries, tax offices, universities, etc., an official or certified translation, stamped by a lawyer, is required.
The official translation service provided by our office includes all the necessary validations so that the documents are necessarily accepted by all Greek public authorities.
For use abroad
For translations that you will use abroad, it is usually only necessary to have the translation certified by our agency.
However, to avoid any inconvenience and problems, we recommend that you contact the foreign institution to which you will be submitting the certified translations to confirm that certification by a translation agency is sufficient.
Do I need the Hague Apostille?
The Hague Apostille is issued on original public documents or on exact copies of the issuing authority which have the force of originals.
The Apostille does not certify the translation, however attests the authenticity of the signature and the capacity in which the signatory acted, in order to make the documents valid for use in the countries that have signed the convention.
We recommend that you contact the institution to which you will be submitting the documents to confirm whether you need the Hague Apostille. If an Apostille is required, you will need to provide us with the documents you wish to translate after you have received the Hague Apostille.
For information on obtaining the Hague Apostille, please contact:
